Salary: $120,000 – $145,000 per year (FTE)

About Esus Centre

Esus Centre is the first integrated eating disorder treatment centre in Australia, founded in 2023 by experienced and passionate clinicians to deliver high-quality, evidence‑based, and recovery‑focused care under one roof. The Centre provides a day‑patient model—offering multi-disciplinary intensive and low‑intensity group programs alongside outpatient services.

The team includes psychiatrists, psychologists, GPs, dietitians, OTs, social workers, nurses, and collaborations with youth mental health workers. Esus delivers a seamless model of step‑up/step‑down care, enabling individuals to transition across levels of support—from intensive day programs to outpatient therapy—while remaining connected to their lives and communities.

Role Overview

In this role, you will:

Provide high quality evidence-based treatment for individuals with eating disorders and their families.

Co-ordinate integrated, interdisciplinary care within the Esus team as well as with external providers where necessary.

Have the opportunity to work across both individual and group programs – current service offerings include Schema Therapy, EmpowerED (for loss of control eating in the context of cognitive dysfunction due to neurodivergence or complex trauma), RO-DBT, and DBT skills for teens and adults.

Contribute to program development and participate in service initiatives that help identify clinical areas for expansion and represent Esus Centre at external clinical forums (where appropriate/desirable).

Support service evaluations and research-based initiatives across the Service.

Engage in peer supervision for all psychologists and clinicians operating within the Service.

Work collaboratively and supportively as part of an integrated team of psychiatrists, general practitioners, psychologists, dietitians and nurses

Essential Criteria

Registered with AHPRA as a Clinical or Registered Psychologist.

Demonstrated commitment to evidence-based practices.

Proven skills in delivering schema therapy therapeutically.

Strong collaborative approach, excellent communication, and teamwork.

ANZAED credentialled or working towards.

Schema Therapy experience is desirable.
