Cairns Sheetmetal Pty Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced First Class Trades Qualified Sheetmetal Worker to join our workshop team in Portsmith, Queensland. This is a full-time, hands-on role ideal for someone who takes pride in precision sheetmetal fabrication and welding.

About the Role

In this role, you’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality HVAC sheetmetal products and solutions for a diverse range of clients across industries such as construction, mining, and manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

Fabricating, shaping, and assembling various sheetmetal components and structures

Performing MIG, TIG, and stick welding

Reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and work orders

Operating a range of sheetmetal machinery and tools

Maintaining equipment and work areas to a high standard

Collaborating with team members to meet deadlines and client expectations

About You

We’re looking for someone who brings both technical skill and a team-oriented attitude.

To be successful, you will have:

First Class Trade Qualification in Sheetmetal Working (or similar)

Previous workshop experience in a similar role

Strong knowledge of welding and sheetmetal fabrication techniques

Ability to read and interpret detailed technical drawings

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety

Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive work ethic
