IDEC Solutions is a respected leader in steel fabrication and construction across commercial, industrial, and infrastructure sectors. With a busy workshop and a strong pipeline of projects, we are looking for Trade Qualified Boilermakers/Welders and 3rd Year Apprentices to join our Brisbane team.

About the Role:

You’ll be based in our well-equipped Brisbane workshop, fabricating and welding structural steel for a range of exciting projects. Whether you’re fully qualified or nearing the end of your apprenticeship, you’ll be part of a skilled team that values quality, safety, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

Read and interpret workshop and fabrication drawings

Perform GMAW welding on structural steel

Work to Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and quality standards

Participate in inspections and rectify any non-conformances

Maintain a safe and tidy work area

About You:

Trade Boilermakers/Welders

Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication or equivalent

Solid workshop experience in structural steel fabrication

Proficient in GMAW welding

Able to pass weld tests to AS/NZS standards

Reliable, safety-focused, and a team player

3rd Year Apprentices

Currently completing Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication

Strong foundation in welding and fabrication

Willingness to learn and develop under the guidance of experienced tradespeople

Good attitude and commitment to safety and quality

What We Offer:

Pay rates from $33 to $45 per hour (depending on role and experience)

Approx. 45 hours per week with optional overtime
