The opportunity

Due to continued demand and business growth, we have an opportunity for Water Maintenance Worker to join our team on a full-time basis, working primarily on the Yarra Valley Water maintenance contract.

The Water Maintenance Worker forms part of a small team responsible for the delivery or planned and unplanned maintenance activities for Reed Civil clients. This position exercises good interpersonal and communication skills, understands and applies quality control techniques and will achieve compliance with defined service level standards to deliver high levels of customer satisfaction.

In this role you will be working day shifts, 7.00am until 3.30pm, with a monthly RDO. Some overtime and weekend work is required.

Your responsibilities will include;

• Delivery of works in line client job requirements within set deadlines
• Rectification of sewer or water faults
• Maintaining a clean, safe and orderly workplace
• Operating plant and equipment
• Maintaining accurate records including, timesheets, daily site diary, material delivery records and varying OH&S documentation
• Monitoring customer and general public issues and implement appropriate action
• Maintaining communication with Reed Civil management on the status of jobs
• Carrying out labouring and other duties as required
• Attending training classes and seminars as requested

About you

To thrive in this role you will have an excellent work ethic and a positive attitude. Ideally you will have a Construction Industry White Card and some civil experience already, however this is not essential as long as you are dedicated, hardworking and reliable. Please note this role works outdoors and is a physical role that requires the incumbent to be physically fit and able.

Whilst not required, a MR Truck Licence, Excavator, Spotters, First Aid and Traffic Control tickets will be beneficial.

It is essential that you are committed to ensuring the safety of yourself and other team members and are able and willing to adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and Company policies and procedures.
