Electrical Engineer - BESS Development

About the role

Reporting to the Head of Technical, you'll sit within the Development Team, providing electrical engineering expertise to support BESS projects from concept to delivery. You'll manage consultants, coordinate design and grid-related services, and support the preparation of technical requirements for construction and split contracts. Key projects include the BESS projecs between 50MW - 200MW, with additional developments in the pipeline.

Duties

Develop technical requirements and scope for BESS projects

Manage external consultants and coordinate design deliverables

Negotiate with OEMs to optimise project outcomes

Provide technical input for development activities, including DA approvals and specialist studies

Skills/experience

Electrical engineering background

Experience in renewable power generation projects, ideally BESS or battery/generation assets

Strong capability in developing technical requirements for construction/BOP contracts

Track record in managing design and grid-related services in a development environment
