Principal Full Stack Engineer (Contract)

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Design, develop, and deploy complex full-stack applications using Java and React.
• Work across backend, frontend, and cloud services to build scalable, high-performance solutions.
• Lead by example—providing technical guidance to the team while remaining hands-on in the code.
• Champion software engineering best practices, patterns, and principles.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts clearly across the business.
• Enhance tooling and processes that improve developer experience, delivery speed, and consistency.

What You’ll Bring:

• Java, Spring Boot, NodeJS
• ReactJS, NextJS
• AWS, GitHub Actions, Splunk, DataDog

• 10+ years' experience in systems development and delivery (or a relevant tertiary qualification).
• Proven expertise in building and maintaining single-page web applications and experience-driven APIs.
• Strong Java and React skills, with hands-on experience across the full SDLC.
• Experience with modern software tools and platforms, including:
  
• A solid understanding (or experience) of iOS and Android development is desirable.
• Airline or Passenger Service Systems (PSS) domain experience is a bonus.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and mentoring skills.
