The Opportunity
This is a ‘New to Market’ opportunity to obtain significant design and on-site experience servicing a range of world leading client businesses.

Liaising with Clients, you’ll undertake site inspections and provide expert structural integrity advice on repairs and upgrades, along with detailed reports and recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake structural condition audits of mining & port infrastructure
• Inspect tunnels, workshops, berths, dolphins, footings etc
• Prepare & analyse reports (structural, mining, marine, concrete, steel)
• Steel & concrete design, FEA modelling, hand calcs, 3D & 2D models
• Detail designs, check drawings, prepare scopes of work & tech specs
• Prepare bids/tenders with new and existing clients
• Ensure projects are delivered on time and budget

About You
You may have anywhere from 5 to 15 years experience. As a site and design office role, you’ll need to be fit, energetic and able to switch between site-based inspections and office based design engineering.

The key prerequisites are:

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (RPEQ or CPEng desirable)
• Structural steel & concrete design and inspection exp.
• Ability to assess & make engineering judgement decisions
• Solid knowledge of steel, concrete and wind codes
• Exp in MS Suite, Sharepoint, 12d Synergy, SpaceGASS, Strand7
• Excellent report writing, verbal and interpersonal skills
• Strong team orientation and excellent time management skills
• Strong work ethic and commitment to safety
• Full QLD drivers licence
