About the role

MRCattle Transport Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled and dedicated Livestock Operator for a casual role based in Winton, Queensland. As a Livestock Operator, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of our cattle transport and livestock handling business. This is an excellent opportunity to join a small family based company in the agricultural industry.

What you'll be doing

Safely loading, unloading, and transporting livestock using specialised equipment and vehicles

Monitoring the health and welfare of livestock during transportation

Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to livestock movements

Assisting with the general maintenance and upkeep of our transport vehicles and equipment

Adhering to all relevant safety and compliance regulations in the handling and transport of livestock

Collaborating with the farm team to ensure the efficient and seamless movement of livestock

What we're looking for

Relevant experience in the livestock or agricultural industry, preferably in a livestock handling or transport role

Proficiency in operating specialised livestock handling equipment and vehicles

Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records

A commitment to animal welfare and the safe handling of livestock

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

A valid driver's licence and the ability to obtain any necessary permits or licences for the role
