THE ROLE

As the Design Engineering Lead, you will take charge of all engineering deliverables, ensuring seamless production and product innovation. You’ll spearhead new designs, oversee technical compliance, and manage a team of engineers, estimators, and production coordinators. Your expertise in CAD, SolidWorks, and mechanical engineering principles will be crucial in optimizing designs and enhancing manufacturing efficiency.

This role is a practical hands-on senior role and requires a lead by example attitude who can drive innovation and design, enhance efficiency, and ensure successful product development over the engineering/estimating team.

Leading product design and development, ensuring compliance and efficiency.

Managing engineering projects, mentoring junior engineers, and overseeing QA/QC.

Utilizing SolidWorks and 3D scanning to create detailed models and drawings.

Driving process improvements and cost optimization through advanced engineering solutions.

ABOUT YOU

To excel in this role, you will have:

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

5+ years of experience in a similar industry with a track record of engineering leadership.

Expertise in 2D & 3D CAD software (SolidWorks) and strong knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes.

A hands-on, problem-solving approach with the ability to lead by example.

Strong communication skills and the ability to mentor and collaborate across teams.
