We a seeking a passionate Clinical Midwife within the MGP setting in the South West, particularly at our Collie Health Service.
Position Profile: To provide advanced, holistic, evidence-based midwifery care within the scope of the Clinical Midwife, within a caseload model (known as Midwife Group Practice). Provides continuity of midwifery care throughout the continuum of pregnancy, labour, birth and the postnatal period. The Clinical Midwife provides support and backup for the woman either at home or in the hospital. The emphasis is on the provision of safe, effective care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. Within the caseload model, the woman and her family are central to the care and provided in a culturally appropriate manner.
The occupant of this position is required to demonstrate a positive commitment to modelling our organisational values, safety and quality improvement and the Code of Conduct in all aspects of their employment. Compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, standards and legislation including Confidentiality and Work Health and Safety policies is mandatory.
Area Profile: WA Country Health Service (WACHS) - Inland Operations consists of eight hospitals, comprising two District Hospital, two small hospitals, three Multi-Purpose Sites (MPS) and one Nursing Post. Inland spans in the north from the southern boundary of the South Metropolitan Health Service near Harvey to Northcliffe in the south. Inland has three district areas:
Blackwood - covers the sites at Boyup Brook, Bridgetown and Nannup.
Wellington - covers the sites at Collie, Harvey and Donnybrook.
Warren - covers the sites at Manjimup (Warren), Pemberton and Northcliffe Nursing post.
Inland Services comprising Nursing, Midwifery, Allied Health and visiting medical practitioner services supported by Telehealth Services. Community Health, Community Mental Health and aged Care Services are provided across the Inland Directorate
We work very closely with all stakeholders in each town and across the Inland along with services providers located in the regional centre at Bunbury.
