About the role

An exciting role in one of Sydney’s leading not-for-profit animal welfare organisations. This role will involve:

Performing all aspects of medical and surgical veterinary care

Approaching patient treatment and care with compassion and the use of fear-free techniques to support the animals’ welfare

Participation in community outreach programs, animal welfare events, media, and fundraising campaigns

Assist visiting specialists in complex cases

Desired skills and experience

Has a passion for companion animal welfare

Strives to provide an exceptional level of patient care

Has at least 3 years experience with a high level of competency in all aspects of medical and surgical veterinary care

Is compassionate and dedicated to achieving the best outcomes for animals

A commitment to or willingness to integrate fear-free handling

A desire to continually promote companion animal welfare through education and support of the community

A positive outlook and willingness to be involved in all aspects of the organisation

The ability to work closely with a team as well as autonomously

Experience working in animal welfare field will be highly regarded
