If you are a motivated, innovative and enthusiastic asset management expert, come and join the dynamic Infrastructure Strategy Branch - Asset Management team as the Principal Asset Engineer (Civil).

You will play a key part in achieving our strategic asset management themes:

About the role

This role will provide you the opportunity to lead and implement an integrated asset management approach across council's civil infrastructure assets. You will be 2IC to the Infrastructure Asset and Data Management Section Manager with opportunity for tailored coaching and mentorship to progress to senior leadership roles.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Provide technical leadership, oversight, and specialist advice across the management of civil infrastructure assets
  • Coordinate the assessment of and response to external and internal requests for service associated with the management of council's civil infrastructure assets
  • Lead and coordinate the development and implementation of asset class strategies and tactics to achieve cost-effective preventative and corrective management and maintenance works, condition monitoring and performance management of civil assets throughout their lifecycle
  • Develop and implement control systems, techniques, work practices, processes, and procedures to help maintain accurate and relevant civil asset data records
  • Prepare briefing papers, business cases and presentations relevant to civil infrastructure asset management
  • Management and leadership of a team of asset management professionals

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Extensive demonstrated experience in civil infrastructure asset management
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in civil engineering, asset management or construction management
  • Hold a current Queensland C Class driver's licence
  • Desirably, you will hold (or have the ability to obtain) registration with the Board of Professional Engineers of Queensland

This is a permanent position with a salary range of $133,000 to $150,000 plus 12.5% superannuation.
