About the role

C & M Sports' is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Sports Teacher to join our team in Sydney, NSW. In this casual position, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective sports coaching and instruction to students of all ages and skill levels in a primary school setting. Your role will be crucial in promoting physical activity, fostering teamwork and instilling a love of sport within the local community.

What you'll be doing

Plan and deliver age-appropriate sports coaching sessions that cater to the needs and abilities of each student

Teach a variety of sports including, but not limited to, soccer, basketball, gymnastics and athletics

Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students

Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and encouragement

Assist with the organisation and supervision of School carnival

Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and continuously improve the sports program

What we're looking for

Experience in sports coaching or instruction, preferably in a school or community setting

Available to work Monday to Wednesday with the possibility of additional work on Thursday to Friday in the Sydney Northern region.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students of all ages

Strong knowledge of various sports rules, techniques and safety procedures

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Relevant coaching qualifications or certifications, or a willingness to obtain them

A passion for sports and a commitment to promoting physical activity and healthy lifestyles
