Job Requirements:

We are seeking a skilled Metal Machinist to join our team. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience in operating and setting up machine tools to cut and turn metal stock to fine tolerances. With a strong ability to interpret technical drawings, you will play a key role in producing high-quality components to meet project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate and set up machine tools, including lathes, milling machines, and surface grinders, ensuring precision and adherence to detailed drawings and specifications.

Shape and form metal stock to meet fine tolerances.

Perform sharpening of drill bits, taps, and inserts as required.

Troubleshoot and maintain machine tools to ensure efficient operations.

Conduct quality control checks, including dimensional reports and inspections of completed workpieces.

Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and quality standards.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum 3 years experience in machining operations, including lathe turning, milling, tool sharpening, and use of different measuring tools (Calliper, micrometre, Internal Diameter Guage)

• Qualifications: Metal Machinist (First Class) - Toolmaker, fitter and turner, or equivalent experience.

• Technical Skills:

Proficiency in interpreting detailed technical drawings.

Familiarity with quality assurance processes and tools.

Hands-on experience with electric arc, MIG, and TIC welding is a plus.
