CNC Machinist - Full time

Location – Caringbah NSW

About the Role

Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, the person will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of a Okuma LB3000 lathe and Okuma MB4000H, as well as supporting equipment including pre-setter, CMM and loading/unloading robot. This is a new machining setup allowing the candidate to help shape the machining operations of the company.

The responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

Setting of tools and fixtures for machining jobs

Loading and unloading of automated robots and pallet pool

First off inspections with CMM

Providing feedback to engineering team on manufacturability of new designs

Working with the quality team to address non-conformances

Maintenance of machinery and coordinating with external technicians

About You

5+ years experience on CNC lathes and horizontal machining centres (experience with Okuma machines is advantageous)

Ability to read engineering drawings

Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines

Experience with hand measuring tools and inspection equipment

Self-Motivated with a willingness to listen and learn

Ready to maintain accountability for assigned jobs

Possess a flexible, cooperative team attitude & a strong work ethic

Willingness & ability to work as part of a team

Keen attention to detail
