About the Role of Accounting Officer:
Reporting to the Director of Finance, this role provides crucial support to the Accounting Managers in maintaining correct credit procedures across the Hotel, including income and audit processes.
What you will do:
Assist the Credit Manager in maintaining proper credit procedures throughout the hotel in accordance with both local and Four Seasons Hotels Limited policies and procedures regarding billing, collection, credit cards, inquiries, cheque cashing etc
Handle daily inquiries and dispute resolution for all clients. Respond to finance-related enquiries from guests and internal departments via phone and email, ensuring professional communication and resolution of discrepancies
Preparation of the accounts receivable invoices
Ensure that all inquiries from guests or credit card companies are handled promptly and professionally including the documentation and preparation of adjustments if necessary
Ensure all Travel Agent payments are properly reviewed/verified, audited and all Travel Agents have valid IATA number (or equivalent) and ensure that payments are not made for non-commissionable transactions and the Travel Agent is eligible to receive payment
Process and reconcile commission payments, prepare monthly accrual reports for commissions, and support accurate revenue recognition during month-end closing
To prepare and ensure that all corporate invoices and statements for outstanding C/L accounts are printed and mailed on timely basis, that rates are charged according to the contracts and to follow-up timely on collection
Assist the Credit Manager in reviewing sales and catering contracts, establish understanding of billing arrangements and follow up on deposits and prepayments to ensure that collection from guests is done on timely basis as per the contract agreed terms
What you will bring:
Previous/current experience in an accounting role with solid knowledge of accounting systems and microsoft applications
Outstanding organisational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
An impeccable eye for detail
Excellent communication skills and the ability to connect with all stakeholder

Remuneration for this role is approximately $76,000 gross per annum plus super and benefits.
