We combine strong technical capability with a supportive work culture, where ideas are valued. We are expanding our leadership team and seeking a skilled Manager – Tax Accountant with SMSF experience to oversee high-value client portfolios and lead our tax team in our Springwood location.

The Opportunity

This senior role offers the scope to manage complex tax engagements, oversee SMSF compliance, and contribute directly to the strategic direction of the practice. You will work closely with the management team, lead a high-performing team of accountants, and provide both technical and commercial solutions to clients.
This role offers a genuine pathway to senior leadership, with the potential to progress to Director level for the right candidate. You will have the opportunity to shape the future of the practice while leading a high-performing team.

What you'll be doing

Manage and grow a portfolio of clients, delivering advanced tax compliance and advisory services.

Oversee SMSF compliance, reporting, and audit coordination.

Provide strategic tax planning, structuring advice, and business advisory solutions.

Conducting in-depth research on tax legislation, compliance, and reporting requirements for large groups entities.

Overseeing the work of junior team members and providing mentorship and guidance.

Manage workflow, deadlines, and client engagement quality.

Build long-term client relationships and identify new advisory opportunities.

Represent the firm at networking and industry events.

Participating in the continuous improvement of our tax and accounting services

What we're looking for

Minimum 6+ years’ Australian public practice experience.

CA/CPA qualified (essential).

Proven ability to manage high-value client portfolios.

Strong technical skills in tax compliance, planning, advisory, and SMSF administration.

SMSF Auditor registration desirable (but not essential).

Proficiency in Xero, Class Super, and other cloud accounting platforms.

Demonstrated leadership, client relationship, and business development skills.

Commercial mindset with the ability to deliver proactive solutions.

Demonstrated experience in supervising and developing more junior team members
