The opportunity

Basin Sands Logistics' is seeking an experienced MC Road Train Operator to join our dynamic team in Ivanhoe, NSW. As an MC Road Train Operator, you will play a crucial role in our mining operations, responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of resources across our extensive logistics network.

Key responsibilities

Operate MC road trains to transport mining materials, equipment and supplies to various sites

Perform pre-operational checks and maintain the cleanliness and roadworthiness of assigned vehicles

Ensure strict compliance with all relevant road safety and traffic regulations

Communicate effectively with the logistics team to coordinate deliveries and address any issues or delays

Contribute to the continuous improvement of our transportation processes and procedures

Provide mentorship and guidance to less experienced operators as required

What we're looking for

A valid MC (Multi-Combination) driver's licence with a proven track record of safe driving

Extensive experience (minimum 3 years) operating large road trains in a mining or heavy haulage environment

Excellent knowledge of road safety regulations and the ability to prioritise safety in all aspects of your work

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Good communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with colleagues and stakeholders

A commitment to continuous learning and a willingness to adapt to new technologies and procedures
