About the position
The City of Gosnells is currently seeking motivated and enthusiastic professionals to join our Parks and Environment team.
This hands-on role supports the establishment, maintenance and repair of parks infrastructure across the City. You will operate a range of tools and equipment to help maintain playgrounds, skate parks and other park assets to a high standard, while also assisting with the installation of features such as fencing, paving, boardwalks and shelters.
What we are looking for
To be successful, you must be able to demonstrate
Substantial experience in a parks infrastructure maintenance role
Ability to work effectively as a team member
Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with a diverse range of people
Strong focus on safety
Essential requirements
Current MR driver’s licence
Cert III in Parks and Gardens, Landscaping or equivalent qualification.
White card
National Police Clearance (less than three months old) Please note: This is not essential to apply for the role but will be required at a later stage as it is an appointment condition.
Desirable requirements
Trade certificate in Carpentry / Cabinetry / Boiler making or equivalent.
Chainsaw Ticket
Concrete, paving, limestone and/or brickwork experience
Operator tickets for operating machinery such as Loader, Bobcat, Excavator, EWP, Forklift and Chainsaw.
Completion of Playground Operation Inspection Level 3
