Reporting to the Civil Engineering Manager, as the Senior Civil Engineer you will support the delivery of safe engineering design, planning and inspection services for the development of referable and non-referable infrastructure assets across the organisation. You will also provide input and recommendations into engineering designs for civil structures infrastructure related to bulk water storage and supply.
Other responsibilities will include:
- Effective delivery of services to meet performance targets within the constraints of time and budget
- Provide expert technical advice to senior and executive management on matters relating to engineering design and risk.
- Deliver project outcomes from scope and options analysis through to completion while maintaining strong relationships with project leads
- Development of Scope of Works and contracts for sub-contractors and review and provide recommendations on variations
- Lead and mentor junior and intermediate level engineers
We are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer who holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with approx. 7 – 15 years’ experience across civil structures and within a Design Environment. You will have experience providing technical solutions and improving design efficiencies and contributing to Project Meetings to provide insights and recommendations.
In addition, you will have:
- Ability to understand, interpret and apply industry codes, standards, technical guidelines and design management systems in the development of high-quality design documentation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Registration an as RPEQ under the professional engineers act 2002 (QLD)
