About the Role
As a Senior Clinical Social Worker, you will play a key role in delivering high-level social work services within a specialised clinical area of the Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN). Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you’ll apply advanced clinical knowledge and skills to support patients with complex needs. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide direct clinical care while also offering expert consultancy to colleagues and guidance to management on best practice approaches.
In addition to your clinical responsibilities, you’ll provide supervision to social work staff and students, and contribute to education and training across the Single Service, Multiple Site model. Your leadership will extend to initiating and participating in quality improvement initiatives and research activities aimed at enhancing service delivery and patient outcomes. This is a rewarding role for an experienced social worker looking to influence and shape the future of social work practice within CALHN.
About You
You are a highly experienced and compassionate Social Worker who brings advanced clinical expertise and leadership to a dynamic healthcare setting. With a strong commitment to evidence-based practice and patient-centred care, you thrive in collaborative environments and take pride in supporting team development and service excellence.
Hold an appropriate qualification in Social Work, eligible for full AASW membership, with extensive experience in a clinical specialty.
Demonstrated ability to lead, manage complex cases independently, and provide expert clinical supervision to staff and students.
Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the capacity to build trust, support diversity, and work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
Skilled in service improvement, critical thinking and applying evidence-based approaches, with a clear understanding of healthcare systems and safety standards.
