We are working with a prominent financial institution to hire a detail-oriented and experienced KYC/AML Officer. This position is ideal for someone with a background in Banking who is looking to further develop their expertise in client due diligence and regulatory compliance.

You will play a vital role in managing the KYC process, monitoring AML risks, and supporting the organisation in maintaining high standards of regulatory compliance.

This position is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract initially, with a good chance of extension or permanency.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Carry out in-depth KYC reviews and onboarding for both new and existing institutional clients.
  • Monitor and update client records as part of ongoing Customer Due Diligence (CDD).
  • Evaluate client profiles against sanctions lists, adverse media, and internal watchlists.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams—such as the Front Office and Compliance—to resolve screening issues and clarify complex client structures.
  • Follow established protocols for AML, sanctions, and risk mitigation, ensuring all checks are compliant with regulatory and internal standards.
  • Highlight and escalate any unusual activity or potential risks identified during the review process.
  • Help maintain and improve internal guidelines, procedures, and training documents.
  • Keep abreast of regulatory developments and communicate any relevant updates to the wider team.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 1–2 years of hands-on experience in AML/KYC and client screening within Corporate or Institutional Banking.
  • Demonstrated understanding of institutional client onboarding and regulatory due diligence.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and screening platforms.
  • Analytical thinker with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to work independently as well as within a team.
  • High standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and accountability.
