Avalon Airport is looking for an energetic and customer-focused team member to join our Operations team. You'll be part of the frontline team ensuring our passengers, tenants, and stakeholders experience smooth, safe, and secure airport operations every day.
About the role
- First 2 weeks: Day shift (9am - 3pm) for training and onboarding.
- Ongoing roster: 4 days on / 2 days off, rotating between week 1 roster shift pattern of 430am to 12.30pm, then week 2 12.30pm to 8.30pm
- Work across the terminal, car parks, and airport precinct to ensure safe, efficient, and friendly operations.
What you'll do
- Provide outstanding customer service to passengers, tenants, and stakeholders.
- Monitor and report security or operational issues promptly.
- Respond to incidents and emergencies in line with airport procedures.
- Oversee the functionality of check-in kiosks, baggage systems, and terminal facilities.
- Maintain the security of restricted areas and follow all compliance requirements.
- Monitor car parking systems, assist customers, and ensure smooth vehicle flow.
What we're looking for
- Applicants that live in the Geelong, Lara, Werribee area.
- Minimum 1 year experience in a customer service role.
- Previous airport experience would be highly regarded.
- Current Driver's Licence.
- Current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work in a regulated environment with a focus on safety and security.
- Must be able to work across morning dayshift and afternoon dayshifts one a one week rotation
