The opportunity:
As the Marketing and Communication Specialist, you’ll be responsible for creating impactful campaigns to increase awareness and uptake of Business Chamber Queensland’s products, services and business capability building programs.
This exciting role gives you the opportunity to shape and drive campaigns and initiatives that support Queensland’s business community and where you can see real, positive impacts.
Key responsibilities:
You will have the following skills and experience:
Manage the day-to-day marketing and communication initiatives for two nationally recognised programs, ecoBiz and Workforce Evolve, including providing expert advice and support to the teams.
Plan and implement marketing campaigns across multiple channels (digital, social media, direct mail, content marketing, outdoor and print) in line with the Chamber’s brand and objectives.
Create engaging content by tapping into topical issues and audience insights (e.g. videos, feature articles, social media posts and content, eDMs, digital newsletters, fact sheets and other marketing collateral).
Collaborate with internal product teams and external stakeholders to align marketing efforts with overall organisational goals, on time and on budget,
Work closely with the Digital Marketing Specialist to monitor and optimise the performance of campaigns in market, and providing insights for improvement to inform future strategy and tactics,
Prepare reports, presentations and other marketing-related documents.
What you'll bring to the role:
A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or a related field
5+ years of experience in a similar role
Strong copywriting skills, with an ability to clearly and succinctly articulate complex issues in a business environment.
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively, including competing deadlines
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use data and insights to inform decision making and drive performance improvement
An interest in current affairs, particularly issues relevant to the business community.
Strong interpersonal, negotiation, networking, influencing and conflict management skills.
Familiarity with marketing tools and software (eg canva, CRM systems, email marketing platforms, social media management tools) is a plus – though we can provide training as needed.
Experience in B2B or service-based marketing roles.
