The Role
Norwest Private Hospital is currently seeking applications for a Nurse Unit Manager for our Emergency Department.
Our busy Emergency Department sees over 14000 adults and paediatric presentations per year with 41% of these converting to hospital admissions. We fully participate in the NSW Ambulance matrix system.
As the Emergency Department Nurse Unit Manager (NUM), you will have strong leadership capabilities to manage a dedicated team, and a commitment to providing excellent patient-centred care and service to optimise outcomes and maximise experience.
We are seeking an experienced, dynamic NUM who is passionate about ED and leading a cohesive team that is focused on patient experience and outcomes. The company values we uphold are that; 'We care. We do. We Strive. We're a Team'.
Recent experience in managing an Emergency Department is preferable and you will be part of a supportive and progressive management team within the hospital.

In this role you will have:
· Current registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
· Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent
· A minimum of 5 years' clinical care experience in a relevant speciality
Desirable Qualifications:
· Postgraduate qualification in Leadership and Management / or a relevant clinical speciality
· Experience in managing a department (including acting or deputising into the Manager role)
· Experience in the private healthcare sector
