About the Role
The Sleep and Circadian Research Group at the Woolcock Institute are world leaders in their field, working to forge new ground in the understanding of the biology of sleep and the prevention and treatment of sleep disorders. An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Trials Manager to manage multiple complex sleep clinical trials at both the site and sponsor level (single and multi-site studies). The role can be part time or full time (minimum 0.5 FTE required) and is for a 2-year period.
Who you are
As a Clinical Trials Manager in the Woolcock’s Sleep and Circadian Research Group, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of several trials within the group, which may include investigator initiated and industry sponsored. You will have outstanding interpersonal skills and will be confident in your ability to expertly manage stakeholders both internally and externally. You’ll be well versed in the preparation and submission of ethical, governance and other regulatory documentation to a high standard. You’ll have experience in milestone and financial reporting including meeting associated deadlines.

Key Essential Criteria
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the coordination and conduct of clinical trials from start up through to close out
Comprehensive knowledge of clinical trial processes, regulatory guidelines and industry standards
A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. medical science, nursing)
Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills and a keen eye for ensuring high level attention to detail
Strong track record in stakeholder management, meeting project timelines and managing study budgets
Willing to travel within Sydney and to other sites across Australia on occasion
Experience in the conduct of clinical trials at both sponsor and site level would be of advantage.
Location
The role will be primarily based at the Institute’s current site on the Macquarie University Campus.
