My Client, a leader in transmission diagnostics and repairs, is seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Technician to join their dynamic team at their Alexandria facility. Celebrating over 40 years of excellence, they operate the largest and most advanced transmission workshop in Australia, featuring purpose-built rooms for transmission rebuilding, torque converter engineering, and precision machining.

Your new role

This full-time position focusses primarily on removing and refitting transmissions, with additional responsibilities across a range of transmission-related tasks. The successful candidate will work closely with the in-house manufacturing team to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality outcomes.

Remove and refit transmissions across various vehicle types
Replace mechatronics, clutches, and DSG clutches
Conduct valve body removal and cooling system repairs
Diagnose and repair worn or faulty components
Use job cards and repair orders for accurate documentation
Liaise with internal teams to coordinate workflow and parts

What you'll need to succeed

Australian Citizen and Resident only (International applicants will not be considered)
Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent
Proven experience in a fast-paced automotive workshop
Strong technical knowledge of transmission systems
Valid driving licence
Must supply own tools
