Purpose of the Role
We are seeking a friendly and reliable Customer Service Operator to join our dedicated team supporting one of Australia's leading aviation infrastructure clients. Based full-time on-site in Mascot, you will be the first point of contact for incoming calls and logged requests, ensuring smooth coordination between the client, trades, and wider BGIS operations.
Reporting into our national Operations Centre based in Adelaide, you'll work closely with them and the on-site team, providing outstanding service in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

You'll be approachable, organised, and proactive, with a calm and professional manner. Whether handling a work order or resolving an urgent issue, you bring strong communication skills and an eye for detail. You enjoy being part of a team and take pride in keeping operations running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, assess and action client requests via various platforms
- Log and manage work orders through the CMMS system
- Allocate jobs to subcontractors or internal trades teams
- Monitor the progress of service requests and update stakeholders
- Escalate urgent issues as needed and ensure follow-through
- Maintain clear records and documentation in line with procedures
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Previous experience in a customer service or helpdesk role
- Excellent phone manner and interpersonal communication
- Confidence working with IT and job management systems
- Strong attention to detail and follow-up
- Ability to remain calm and clear under pressure
- Australian Citizenship required for site access
Desirable:
- Facilities, maintenance, trades or scheduling experience
- Familiarity with CMMS or job management systems
Working Arrangement
- Monday to Friday
- 38 hours per week
- Core business hours (with some flexibility on start/finish times)
- On-site role based in Mascot
- Free parking available once ASIC is attained
