UI Team Lead (Global Financial Trading Firm)

Our client is a well-known Global Quantitative Trading Firm that is looking for an experienced UI Team Lead to add to their growing Sydney team!

*** To apply for this role, you MUST be able to commit to an onsite model of 5 days in their Sydney CBD office per week given the nature of the work this company do ***

What you'll bring?

• Strong hands-on experience leading engineering teams to build complex, real-time systems
• Experience with multithreaded UI applications, dealing with real-time data
• Expertise in microservices architecture
• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure, Azure Service Fabric
• Strong experience with C#, WPF
• Excellent communication skills
• Prior experience working for a quantitative trading firm, knowledge of derivatives pricing / options trading technology
• Experience working across regional / global teams
• Nice to Have's include - React/Typescript experience

What you'll be doing?

• Own the technical roadmap and delivery for this team
• Lead, mentor and coach a high-performing team made up of both frontend and backend engineers
• Collaborate with traders, quant researchers and other global team members to deliver solutions
• Drive architecture and system design decisions
• Oversee performance tuning
• Ensure code quality and business alignment on what your team deliver
