About the role

Greater Dandenong Libraries is one of the busiest library services in Victoria and is experiencing a period of growth and opportunity for the Library Service.

An exciting opportunity is currently available for a Library Programs and Partnerships Team Leader to join the dedicated Greater Dandenong Libraries, which sits within the Creative and Engaged City department. You will work as part of a team responsible for programming and community engagement.

Your primary purpose in this position is to:

· Develop, lead and maintain external partnerships and programs to enhance library services and community engagement in line with strategic outcomes

· Provide leadership and support to the Library Programs and Partnerships team, fostering a collaborative environment and working with all Council areas to deliver innovative, strategic and cultural community outcomes

· Provide specialist advice for the development of programs and services that focus on engaging with new and potential library users

· When working on a rostered shift as leader on duty, supervise and manage front-of-house Library operations and the delivery of services

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have the following qualifications or experience, knowledge and skills to carry out this position:

· Degree or diploma in Librarianship / Information & Knowledge Management or Community Development or equivalent with some relevant experience and/or lesser formal qualifications and substantial relevant experience in management commensurate with the position.

· Effective leadership and motivational skills with diverse teams.

· Successful program and project delivery through collaboration.

· Long-term partnerships and cultural development initiatives.

· Current Drivers Licence

You may be required to undertake practical testing, work preference profiling / psychometric testing, functional capacity assessment (physical) or aptitude testing.
