About the role

We are seeking passionate Casual On-Call Mini School Bus Drivers to join our team at Sunshine Buses Pty Ltd in Tanah Merah, and Beenleigh QLD. As a Casual On-Call Mini School Bus Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting special needs students to and from school each day. You will operate with a Student Supervisor on the bus whose role is to assist with the students. The role is a maximum of 20 hours per week, split shift engagement.

What you'll be doing

Safely operating a mini school bus to transport special needs students to and from school each day

Ensuring the safety and comfort of all passengers for the duration of their transport

Adhering to all traffic laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures

Performing pre-check inspections of the vehicle to maintain safety and cleanliness

Providing excellent customer service to students and their families

Communicating effectively with the office, Student Supervisor, school staff and parents as needed

What we're looking for

A current and valid open LR or above driver's licence, with a good driving record

Drivers Authorisation (Industry Authorisation) or be willing to obtain. (they can be obtained through the Department of Transport and Main Roads)

Experience driving a minibus, or a 22-seater bus or similar-sized vehicle

Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work well with children

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety

A flexible schedule to accommodate the needs of our school routes
