MAYDAY Healthcare is thrilled to be recruiting for a beautifully modern, purpose-built day surgery centre located between the buzz of Adelaide city and the charm of the Hills. This well-established facility is home to two theatres and is renowned for its excellence in ophthalmology, while also supporting a variety of other surgical specialties.

We’re on the lookout for a confident and compassionate Scrub/Scout Nurse who thrives in a team environment and is eager to grow. You’ll be joining a tight-knit crew of 35—including admin and CSSD—working closely with 15 ophthalmologists and a handful of visiting specialists, all committed to delivering outstanding patient care.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Scrubbing and scouting across a wide range of ophthalmic procedures (and potentially other specialties)
• Ensuring high-quality patient care from admission to discharge
• Collaborating with surgeons, anaesthetists, and the broader team in a calm, well-run environment
• Actively participating in safety huddles and continuous improvement initiatives

About You:

• Minimum 3 years’ perioperative experience
• Ophthalmology experience is a bonus – but attitude is everything!!
• Open to ongoing training and growth (even if you’re new to eyes, they’ll train you)
• Comfortable working in a small, collaborative team
• Passionate about delivering seamless, empathetic care
