About the role

This is a senior leadership position commencing Term 1, 2026.

We are seeking a passionate Director of Curriculum who will take responsibility for all matters pertaining to the College’s curriculum and pedagogy to ensure a seamless P-12 model across all sub-schools and learning areas reflecting current educational research and best practice.

Reporting to the Deputy Principal, this position will also liaise closely with the Director of Student Experiences to ensure synergy between curriculum and extra-curricular activities across the College.

A small administrative support team reports to and is managed by this role.

Key responsibilities:

Responsibility for the content and pedagogy of all aspects of the P-12 curriculum.

Oversight and preparation of all courses P-12.

Keeping the Principal informed of global and national trends and best practice in curriculum and pedagogy P-12.

Lead all Secondary Teachers and direct administrative support team.

Liaison and compliance with all QCAA and NCCD reporting requirements.

Budget, plan, implement and regularly review teaching staff professional development, aligning it closely with the College’s strategic plan.

Implement elements of the College Strategic Plan which pertain to curriculum P-12.

Plan and construct the College P-12 timetable.

Liaise with the Deputy Principal to allocate staffing, subject allocations, rooming and student subject allocations ensuring that all staff are teaching in their areas of expertise and to their required loads, and that student preferences are maximised.

With the relevant Head of School, plan, implement and regularly review appropriate P-12 assessment, recording and reporting procedures for the College.

Overview the Subject Selection processes.

Chair designated committees that focus on continual academic improvement.

Oversight and responsibility for student academic achievement, including the S.E.T. planning, career guidance, tertiary entrance applications and Vocational Education certification.

Oversight of the College’s Learning Enrichment and Extension Programs.

Oversight and responsibility for the College’s Pre-Service Teaching Program.

Teach one class as directed by the Principal.

The successful candidate will possess:

Tertiary qualifications in education and the capacity to teach in at least two (2) disciplines.

Possession of a higher degree (Masters or Doctorate) in Leadership, Counselling, Pastoral Care or related discipline would be viewed favourably.

Extensive experience leading a team, including regular performance feedback, career development discussions and disciplinary discussions as required.

QCT registration.

A comprehensive knowledge and understanding of current curriculum frameworks, particularly the Australian Curriculum.

Ability to present formally and informally to a variety of audiences in a range of settings, particularly high-stakes ceremonies and assemblies.

A proven ability to manage staff, programs and resources on time and within budget.

A clearly articulated philosophy that is synergistic and harmonious with the Anglican ethos.

Demonstrated high level conceptual, analytical and planning skills for use in the implementation of College policies and priorities which optimise learning.

Expertise in the successful implementation of a pedagogical framework – preferably experience with The New Art and Science of Teaching.

Recognition and understanding of student protection requirements.
