St John of God Geelong Hospital St John of God Hospital Geelong is a 253 bed hospital and is recognised as the leading provider of private health care in the Barwon and South-Western region. The hospital provides a range of services including an emergency department, day surgery, medical, surgical and maternity services, along with a 24 hour critical care unit and Cath Lab services.
Your role
You will provide comprehensive patient care to patients on our medical and oncology ward, working alongside various clinicians providing medical treatment within a range of specialities including oncology, haematology, palliative care, respiratory, renal, infectious disease and gerontology.
Permanent full-time role available, part-time will be considered with the opportunity for multiple candidates to be hired to fill the position. This role requires availability for all shifts (AM / PM / Night Duty) across 7 days.

The Position
- Assesses plans, delivers and evaluates patient care, seeking support from senior staff as required.
- Promotes and contributes to effective communication, facilitating teamwork and cooperation within the department and within the hospital.
- Provides patient education and acts as a resource where appropriate.
- Supports and supervises staff and students as required, including orientating and precepting staff.
- Contributes to the achievement of Hospital and Clinical Services operational objectives.
You will have a registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse, with recent acute inpatient experience and demonstrated commitment to quality patient care and satisfaction, along with well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills.
Oncology experience (including cytotoxic medication administration) will be highly regarded.
To succeed you will have the ability to work effectively and harmoniously within the multi-disciplinary health care team with a commitment to ongoing education and professional development.

- Salary $79,535 to $100,984 (pro rata if part time), plus 12% superannuation
