A long-established construction company is seeking a skilled Accounts & Administration Manager to lead its finance and administrative operations. This is a hands-on, full-time role offering variety, autonomy, and the chance to make a real impact.

Role Overview
Take ownership of end-to-end accounting, payroll, HR documentation, and general administration. You’ll manage weekly payroll for 80 staff, oversee the Accounts Payable and Receivable function, and coordinate BAS, PAYG, superannuation, and insurance processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Weekly payroll processing, PAYG, Superannuation QLeave, and tax reporting.
- HR documentation: draft and issue employment agreements, manage employee correspondence, and maintain personnel files.
- Accounts payable and receivable, including setting and maintaining creditor and debtor accounts, reconcile statements, and prepare payment runs with remittance advices.
- Lodge BAS, PAYG, and other taxation requirements; reconcile bank accounts, maintain the general ledger, and prepare weekly cash flow forecasts.
- Coordinate with external accountants and ensure compliance with all relevant reporting and payment obligations.
- General office coordination.
What You’ll Bring
- 8–10 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Qualifications in Accounting or Bookkeeping (Cert IV, Diploma, or Degree).
- Strong knowledge of payroll, taxation, superannuation, and accounting software.
- High attention to detail, confidentiality, and excellent communication skills.
- Experience with Timberline Sage 300 (or similar) is highly desirable.
