The opportunity

We are looking for a versatile Systems Administrator to join our team of IT professionals on a full-time basis where you will be tasked with providing expert technical advice and support within a dynamic and diverse school environment.

As Systems Administrator, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining critical IT infrastructure, such as servers, networks, and cyber security systems, to ensure data integrity, consistency and security to meet the operational and regulatory requirements of the College.

In this role you will also actively engage with staff and students, troubleshooting complex issues, and contributing to a positive workplace culture though your hands on support of Helpdesk operations and development of technical skills within the team.

What we're looking for

Demonstrated ability to apply a range of technical skills and a high level of accuracy and process adherence, as a systems and network administrator (previous schools experience would be highly advantageous).

Demonstrated experience as a network administrator including the set up and maintenance of Local Area Networks (LAN) and network security features.

Demonstrated experience and familiarity working with hardware including physical devices such as servers, routers, printers and laptops.

Demonstrated experience in the management of cyber security and an understanding of its application within an education and care setting.

Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the management of cloud computing applications

Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on negotiating solutions and building and maintaining quality relationships with all members of the College community.

Well-developed organisational and time management skills to manage competing demands within a dynamic environment
