The Haus Restaurant has an exciting opening for an experienced events professional to help grow and execute social events, weddings and conferences in a casual capacity.

Role Type
This is a casual position for one day per week, with an additional day / hours during wedding season or when covering department leave. Pathway to permanent part-time subject to business growth. The role offers flexibility and variety, making it ideal for candidates balancing other commitments such as study, a return to the workforce after a career break or simply looking to top up their existing hours.

How You’ll Add Value
You will work closely with the Conference & Events Manager and the Functions & Events Co-ordinator, collaborating with our directors and department heads to coordinate and deliver weddings, conferences and social events from concept to completion. This includes managing client enquiries, converting leads into bookings, overseeing event logistics, and ensuring seamless execution on the day .

Key Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

Plan and deliver events from concept to execution - including social events, conferences and weddings

Handle enquiries with pace and professionalism; respond promptly to emails and calls

Host client meetings and venue famils.

Own event administration: proposals, invoicing, group accommodation bookings, event orders and post-event follow-up

Coordinate tailored menus, floor plans, setups and detailed run sheets

Partner with management to lift customer satisfaction and revenue, including upsell strategies and repeat business.

Maintain CRM accuracy (ZOHO) and stakeholder communication across departments (prep, staffing, ordering).

Support off-site catering as required.

Confidently host events and workshops (comfortable on a microphone).

Set up and troubleshoot AV as needed.

Provide hands on operational support on event days.

Work after hours/weekends/off-site as operations require.

What You Bring

Proven experience coordinating and managing functions and events

Strong communication and stakeholder skills, with the ability to influence and coordinate teams

Elite organisation and administration: deadline driven, excellent attention to detail and effective time management

Calm under pressure; thrives in fast-paced service environments

Commercial mindset with a track record of converting enquiries into confirmed bookings

Tech savvy: Microsoft Word/Outlook/Excel; Adobe/Canva; ZOHO; Bepoz; RMS; Now Book It (experience valued, not essential)

Hands on previous F&B experience preferable

Proactive team player who leans in wherever needed

Growth mindset - keen to evolve with the business and step into increased responsibility as the portfolio scales
