About the Position
An exciting role has arisen for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join the Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls (EIC) team. Based in our Pakenham head office and reporting to the EIC Team Lead, you are responsible for the design, delivery and commissioning of power generation EIC systems including power distribution and switchboards, diesel fuel control, gaseous fuel control, load management systems and monitoring solutions. With a multitude of exciting projects underway, you will be immersed in a supportive culture where you can let your innovation and “out of the box” thinking lead you to an effective and efficient solution for complex problems.
About You
You are an experienced Electrical Engineer with a minimum of 5 years' experience in an engineering position. You thrive in a challenging and fast paced working environment, enjoy collaborating with high performing teams and get a kick out of solving complex challenges and designing power generation systems. You have an eye for detail and welcome all aspects of engineering ranging from theoretical and computation design, to hands on works with our tradesmen and technicians when testing and commissioning. Experience in Power Generation or Oil and Gas sectors is highly desirable.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
Relevant industry experience and tertiary qualification
Exceptional time management and communication skills
Relevant Power Generation electrical system design knowledge such as generator switchboard design, load management development and generator controls systems
Solid experience in design and management of electrical installations and ensuring compliance to relevant Australian Standards such as AS3000 and AS3010
Knowledge of configuration, programming, and commissioning of PLCs and generator controller will be highly advantageous.
Experience in electrical infrastructure and controls design relating to generator sets would be extremely advantageous.
HV experience and / or Hazardous area experience would be highly regarded
Registered as a professional engineer within statutory requirements or the ability to obtain within 6 months.
The remuneration package on offer will be commensurate with demonstrated skills and experience.
