At MyLiving Outdoors, we specialise in creating beautifully functional outdoor areas through expert design and construction of verandahs, decks, paving, and retaining walls. Due to continued growth, we’re looking for a skilled Draftsperson to support our Paving and Retaining division with project planning, estimating, and client coordination.

About the Role
This is a diverse, hands-on position for someone who enjoys combining technical precision with strong people skills. You’ll prepare detailed, site-specific drawings for paving and retaining wall projects, complete accurate material take-offs and cost estimates, and work closely with clients, installers, and suppliers to keep projects running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare site-specific drawings for retaining walls and paving layouts

Perform material take-offs and provide accurate cost estimates

Collaborate with sales and construction teams to ensure designs meet customer expectations and council requirements

Communicate with clients regarding design adjustments and clarifications

Assist in organising project timelines and coordinating installers and deliveries

Ensure plans are council-ready and aligned with engineering and site constraints

About You

Proficient in drafting software (ideally AutoCAD or similar)

Experience in landscaping, civil, or construction drafting – particularly in paving and retaining walls

Strong estimating and material take-off skills

Excellent communication and organisational abilities

Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Ability to interpret engineering plans and site conditions

A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
