We are seeking compassionate and dedicated casual Support Workers / Mentors to join our growing team in Canberra and surrounding regions.

About the Role

As a Support Worker/Mentor, you will work closely with NDIS participants to help them achieve their goals and increase their independence. You will provide tailored, one-on-one support, whether at home or in the community, aligned with each participant’s NDIS plan.

Key responsibilities include:

Supporting daily living tasks (personal care, meal prep, medication, domestic duties)

Community access (transport, social outings, shopping, appointments)

Building capacity through life skills, advocacy, and emotional support

Maintaining accurate and timely shift notes and incident reports

Working within the NDIS Code of Conduct and Your Choice Matters' policies and procedures

You’ll collaborate with participants, their families, and wider support networks to ensure holistic, person-centred care.

About You

You are driven by empathy and a genuine desire to make a positive impact. You bring patience, professionalism, and strong interpersonal skills to every interaction. You're also reliable, proactive, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

You will ideally have:

Certificate III (or higher) in Disability, Individual Support, Community Services or equivalent
(or be currently completing / willing to obtain)

Previous experience in disability support, including complex needs and behaviours

Current First Aid & CPR certification

Current Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration – ACT

National Police Check

NDIS Worker Screening Check

Valid Australian Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle

Location & Availability

Positions available across Canberra and surrounding ACT suburbs

Flexible working hours – we are looking for workers with consistent availability who can build long-term relationships with our participants
