At Blossom Support Services, we do things differently.
We support young people and adults with disability to live meaningful, adventurous lives – through tailored community access, innovative short-term accommodation (STA), and in-home supports.
Our focus is on positive behaviour support, communication access, and individualised care for those with complex needs. We're building a team of experienced support workers who know how to think ahead, adapt with compassion, and follow through.
Now, we're offering two pathways to join us:
Casual employee roles with strong leadership support, penalty rates and superannuation.
Experienced independent subcontractors, with autonomy, flexibility, and strong hourly rates.
We Are Looking For Support Workers With:
Experience supporting behaviours of concern
Confidence implementing Positive Behaviour Support Plans (PBSPs)
Practical skills using visual supports, AAC, and sensory regulation tools
Understanding of trauma-informed and strengths-based approaches
Ability to communicate effectively with participants, families, and allied health
Strong documentation and time management skills
Your Role May Include:
Supporting participants in the community, in their homes, and on overnight STA/respite
Implementing participant-specific plans (PBS, seizure, dysphagia, mealtime, medication)
Providing personal care, managing routines, and fostering independence
Completing accurate support notes and shift documentation
Collaborating with a supportive team and leadership network (including in-house nurse)
Essential Requirements:
All roles (employee or subcontractor):
NDIS Worker Screening Check
DHS Working with Children Check
National Police Check
First Aid & CPR
Manual Handling Certificate
NDIS Worker Orientation Module
“Through Their Eyes” (RAN) and Safe Meal Training
Driver’s Licence and comprehensively insured personal vehicle
Proof of right to work in Australia
Subcontractors only (additional):
Valid ABN
Public Liability & Professional Indemnity Insurance
What We Offer:
Employee Pathway:
SCHADS Level 2 from $43.23/hr + 12% super, with paid training, regular rostered hours, and eligibility for permanent conversion.
Subcontractor Pathway:
$50.54–$54.69/hr, flexible hours, participant-match-up model, shift penalties for weekends. Ideal for experienced sole traders.
