About the Role
We are seeking applications for the term, full time role of Associate Producer. This is an essential role producing, presenting and managing a series of projects and programs to the highest artistic, technical and financial standards as part of QPAC’s annual program.
This position reports to Director - Programming
In this role you will:
Plan, produce and manage projects, productions and special events within QPAC’s annual program, including digital projects, that vary in scale, presentation mode and level of complexity.
Support projects and productions that may be created and developed by QPAC independently or in partnership with other artists and companies.
Act as the QPAC lead on special events including Opening Night functions for QPAC presentations and major event partners, liaising with external producers and all QPAC Departments.
Support Producers and Senior Producers in the delivery of projects, including administrative support, logistics and project coordination.
At QPAC producing includes:
Evaluating projects and programs for consideration as part of QPAC’s annual program. This includes preparation of assessment material on artistic programs under consideration by QPAC which will include presentation deal structure scenarios, market and audience, and financial risk analysis.
Collaborating and co-creating processes and outcomes with and within various communities (these may be built around geography, interest, demographics) across Queensland.
Preparation, monitoring and reporting against project budgets, and negotiating a range of contracts and agreements.
Collaborating with marketing and other teams to identify audiences, develop campaigns and produce effective collateral and digital resources.
Managing production requirements and logistical matters.
Monitoring ticket sales and targets.
Collaborating with external creative, industry, learning and funding partners.
Liaising effectively with the different departments within QPAC to ensure the delivery of projects and events
Representing QPAC at industry forums and functions.
About You
To be successful in this role, we are looking for:
Relevant professional or tertiary qualification in the arts, arts management, business administration and/or equivalent industry experience.
Demonstrated experience in liaising with producers, arts companies and artists across multiple artistic genres.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively (written and oral) with a broad range of people and successfully negotiate issues of a complex and sensitive nature.
Demonstrated ability to undertake, organise and prioritise multiple projects from initial stages through to completion
