The Senior Finance Officer provides key support and advice in the development, management, monitoring and analysis of ORSR budgets, management reports and end of year financial statements in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards. In addition, the role contributes to the financial management of the Agency, maintaining financial policies, procedures and systems.

This position reports to the Manager, Finance and works collaboratively with members of the ORSR Executive Management Team, managers and staff, and liaises with vendors, clients, stakeholders and other government agencies.

Special Conditions

The Incumbent will be required to participate in the Agency's Performance Management Program.

The Incumbent may be assigned to another position at this remuneration level or equivalent.

Some work outside of normal hours will be required.

This role has been classified as a position of trust. The incumbent is subject to a satisfactory general probity check in line with departmental policies and procedures.

Essential

An appropriate tertiary qualification in accounting, commerce, finance or other similar field.

Desirable

Membership of a professional accounting body (Certified Practising Accountant, Chartered Accountant or equivalent).
