About the role

Silk Builders is seeking an experienced Supervisor Carpenter to join our team in Noosa Heads, Queensland on a contract basis. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of carpenters as well as being on the tools to deliver high-quality construction and fit-out projects.

What you'll be doing

Supervise, coordinate and lead a team of carpenters and trades contractors to ensure the timely and efficient completion of construction and fit-out projects

Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety

Provide on-site leadership and mentoring to the carpentry and other trades involved

Collaborate with the project management team to address any issues or challenges that arise during the course of a project

What we're looking for

Minimum 10 years' experience as a Carpenter or Supervisor Carpenter in the construction or fit-out industry

Strong knowledge of carpentry / building techniques.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with clients, trade contractors, and team members

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to address challenges that arise on site

Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety on the job

Relevant trade qualifications or certifications
