About Us
The Mind Spot is a boutique, neuro-affirming allied health clinic in beautiful Warragul, Gippsland. We work with individuals of all ages, with a strong focus on neurodivergent clients and families. We’re known for our strengths-based, affirming approach, our well-resourced environment, and our genuine investment in our team’s professional and personal growth.
We’re now expanding our allied health team to welcome an Occupational Therapist to meet community demand, and we want an exceptional paediatric/disability OT who is also excited about sensory processing, interoception, and collaborative work within Positive Behaviour Support.
Your Role
In this role, you will:
Provide high-quality, neuro-affirming OT services to children, teens, adults and families.
Be proficient in writing meaningful functional capacity assessments (FCA's) that guide program development and goal setting for individuals.
Be willing to be a part of our multi-disciplinary diagnosis team and/or our behaviour support teams.
Be capable of conducting comprehensive assessments that may include sensory processing assessments, visual-motor integration assessments, handwriting assessments and others that can be used to develop early intervention plans, programs, and guide behaviour support plans developed by The Mind Spot clinic.
Develop and run interoception programs for clients, both individually and in groups.
Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to support functional skill development and participation goals.
If interested in the dual role of behaviour support: Deliver functional behaviour assessments and develop positive behaviour support plans (extensive training and supervision provided if you’re new to PBS).
Create engaging, individualised therapy sessions using play, creativity, and evidence-based strategies.
Your Package
Base salary: $105,000 – $130,000 (depending on experience and expertise you bring to the role)
Superannuation: 15% (well above the legal minimum)
Total package value: $120,750 – $149,500 + perks
PD allowance: $1,500/year + Paid PD days
In-house supervision and mentoring (no cost to you)
Overheads and admin support are fully covered — you focus on your clients

Our Ideal Candidate
Registered Occupational Therapist - Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Experience with paediatrics, adult disabilities and neurodivergent clients
Brings a high level of clinical knowledge and skills in occupational therapy practice that will be a benefit to the individuals who will access support and a valued asset to The Mind Spot Clinic.
Skilled in sensory profiling and interoception
Interested in (or already delivering) Positive Behaviour Support (We believe in a holistic approach to behaviour support and value the voice of OT's in behaviour support strategies).
Creative, flexible, and committed to neuro-affirming practice
Current WWCC, Police Check, NDIS Worker Screening

Bonus points if you’re an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner

** OT students interested in working as a behaviour support practitioner (must have some experience with behaviour support) or allied health therapy assistants are welcome to apply (salary to be negotiated).
