The Role: Counter Balance forklift Operator (Junior)
Training will be provided in this role!

This is a hands-on role in a warehouse and yard environment. You’ll be working with high-quality outdoor building products, and assisting in the day-to-day operations of the warehouse.
This is not a high-speed picking environment due to the nature of products onsite. Attention to detail is key as products that are packed / palletised incorrectly or marked / scratched become unsellable.

Your duties will include:

• Counterbalance forklift operating
• Loading and unloading trucks
• Loading and unloading of containers
• Picking and packing orders via RF Scanner
• Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently to meet customer requirements.
• Closely identifying stock via Brand name and Barcode numbers
• Palletising stone and outdoor lifestyle products
• Manual handling and picking of heavy materials up to 30 kgs (2 person lift procedure in place)
• General Ad hoc warehouse duties and housekeeping

Shift Available:
Day:

• 6am – 2pm
• Monday to Friday

The Candidate:
You may have only 3-6 months counter balance forklift operating experience and are looking to further improve your skillset! You will be a candidate who isn’t afraid of getting your hands dirty! This role is 50% forklift operation and 50% manual handling of heavy goods such as stone and outdoor lifestyle products.
Having worked with outdoor lifestyle products such as Flooring, walling or tiling is highly advantageous!
You will be a team player who is happy to assist others and work towards achieving team targets and meeting client requirements on time, every time.

To be successful in obtaining this role you will have the following experience:

• Valid LF forklift licence
• 6+ months Counterbalance forklift operating experience
• 6+ months previous warehouse or yard experience
• 6+ months RF scanning and pick packing experience
• Physically fit and capable of manual lifting
• Have basic mathematical skills to calculate sizing requirements and product numbers of customer orders
• Excellent organisational skills
• Able to use computers and computer systems
• High level of attention to detail
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Reliable and punctual with attention to safety and detail
• Excellent communication skills
