Roper Gulf Regional Council is seeking an experienced and values-driven leader to step into the role of Assistant Aged Care and Disability Manager. This pivotal position supports the delivery of high-quality aged care and disability services across our remote communities — a chance to lead with purpose and make a meaningful, lasting impact in the lives of others.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you’ll work closely with the Aged Care and Disability Manager to:

Lead administration & reporting — maintain accurate client records (PRODA, MAC, Medicare, Centrelink), prepare reports, manage financial processes, and organise logistics.

Supervise and mentor staff — coordinate rosters, support training programs, and guide Community Service Officers and Team Leaders.

Coordinate service delivery — oversee CHSP, Support at Home, and NDIS programs during relief periods, ensuring compliance and client satisfaction.

Drive organisational sustainability — uphold Council policies, confidentiality, and cross-team collaboration.

Champion quality and improvement — contribute to audits, compliance, and community engagement.

Prioritise safety — uphold WHS standards, including infection control, manual handling, and emergency procedures.

What We’re Looking For

Essential

Tertiary qualification in Social Sciences, Nursing, Health Science, or related field.

Experience in aged and disability care management.

Cultural awareness and ability to work respectfully in remote Indigenous communities.

Strong communication, case management, and IT skills.

Understanding of WHS and food safety regulations

Competitive salary: $114,123.79 – $125,614.36 (Level 8)
