We are seeking a Targeted Care Packages Key Worker to work closely with children, young people, and their families to ensure they receive the care and support they need to move towards a stable and positive future.
About the Role
As a Targeted Care Packages Key Worker, you will:
- Work directly with children and young people, undertaking case management tasks and functions in line with their individual care plan.
- Provide intensive, high-quality support to families, addressing risk factors and developing protective factors that promote long-term stability.
- Conduct assertive outreach in homes and community settings, ensuring children and families receive support in a safe and familiar environment.
- Collaborate with Child Protection, specialist agencies, and other multidisciplinary services to ensure integrated and coordinated care.
- Prepare court reports, case plans, progress updates, and maintain accurate records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Position Details
- Part-time, Fixed term until 30 June 2026
- 0.8 FTE working 60.8 hours per fortnight
- $101,032 (pro-rata) p/a + Super + Salary Packaging

What We're Looking For
We value individuals who bring dedication, empathy, and expertise to their roles. To succeed in this position, you will have:
- A tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, Welfare Studies, Alcohol and Other Drugs, or a related field.
- Experience in managing complex cases, with strong skills in advocacy, counselling, therapeutic interventions, and family support in line with the Best Interests Framework.
- The ability to build trust and engage with children, young people, and families with empathy and cultural sensitivity.
- Strong risk and needs assessment skills to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children in your care.
