Role

We require an experienced, autonomous operator to manage daily studio operations. You will coordinate ~15 independent contractor trainers, oversee 5-8 casual staff, and maintain our premium standards with proven self management skills. This is a hands-on leadership position reporting directly to the manager weekly and require a level of initiative and ability to manage.

Key Responsibilities

- Schedule and coordinate ~15 independent fitness trainers (contractors)

- Manage 6-8 casual employees across operations and front-of-house

- Understand the customer. Be comfortable to delegate and implement systems.

- Conduct performance reviews and manage contractor relationships through influence.

- Oversee facility maintenance, cleaning schedules and supplier relationships.

- Maintain impeccable presentation standards throughout the studio representing the brand.

- Handle member concerns and ensure exceptional service delivery.

- Experience in sales and implementation of sales, reporting and training of a team prioritised as reflected in salary.

- Make operational decisions independently without seeking immediate approval

- Manage studio, report financials.

- Hold full accountability for studio operations

Essential Requirements

- Minimum 3 years managing contractors or service providers

- Proven ability to work autonomously without daily supervision supported by references.

- Experience influencing independent contractors who don't directly report to you

- Strong commercial acumen and decision-making capability

- Physical capability for hands-on facility management

- Comfortable with 6:45am starts and Saturday work.

- Immediate or near-immediate availability preferred

- Current studio/hotel/hospitality managers working with teams.

- Franchise operations managers coordinating independent operators

- Co-working or shared space managers

- Service industry managers with contractor workforce experience

Not suitable for: Corporate middle managers expecting traditional hierarchies, those requiring team-based decision making, or candidates without contractor management experience.

Package:

- $90,000 - $110,000 total remuneration package [inclusive of super and bonus)
