The Role
One Key Resources is currently seeking qualified and experienced Mechanical Fitters to join our client's busy workshop in Rutherford, NSW. In this role, you'll be working on major overhauls and repairs of key underground mining equipment, supporting some of the biggest names in the industry.

What you'll be doing:
You'll be responsible for a variety of mechanical tasks across the full lifecycle of equipment overhaul, including:

• Joy Shuttle Cars
• Continuous Miners
• Other OEM mining equipment

• Overhauling and rebuilding underground development equipment, including:
• Disassembling, inspecting, diagnosing, repairing and reassembling mechanical components
• Following work instructions, repair specifications, and job cards to ensure quality and compliance
• Conducting functional testing and inspections to verify safe operation post-repair
• Accurately completing service and repair documentation
• Reporting any faults, delays, or safety concerns to supervisors promptly
• Assisting with workshop housekeeping, including keeping work areas clean and safe
• Contributing to a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement

About You:

• Relevant trade qualifications (e.g. Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade)
• Proven experience with heavy equipment overhauls, ideally in underground mining
• Strong mechanical aptitude and fault-finding skills
• Ability to work independently while also contributing to team goals
• Good communication skills and ability to follow procedures and report accurately
• Commitment to maintaining a clean, organised and safe work environment

• Excellent hourly rate: $58.41 per hour (Open to negotiations based on experience)
• Day shift only: Monday - Thursday, 6:00am - 4:00pm
